Description For Azure Cloud Developer/Engineer

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking an Azure Cloud Developer/Engineer to join their Retail Technology Team. Despite being an apparel and footwear company, technology plays a central role in their operations. The Digital Technology teams support an IT infrastructure across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ stores worldwide.

As an Azure Cloud Developer/Engineer, you'll be instrumental in delivering cloud-first, direct-to-consumer retail integration services for Columbia Brands. The role involves building cloud integrations to address specific business and technical needs in the retail landscape. You'll work with Microsoft Azure and .NET technologies, implementing service-based solutions while following test-driven development practices.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years specifically in .NET Core and C#. Strong expertise in Azure cloud technologies is essential, including experience with App Services, Service Bus, Logic Apps, Data-Bricks, SQL, and Synapse. You should be comfortable building Event-Driven microservices and working in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities For Azure Cloud Developer/Engineer

  • Analyze, design, build and implement service-based solutions using Microsoft Azure and .NET
  • Utilize test driven development practices
  • Execute against a backlog of User Stories and tasks on Azure Dev Ops
  • Build and deliver product-ready services
  • Actively participate in daily standup, team meetings, and demos in an Agile Model
  • Partner with teams across geographies and work in a dynamic, fast-track matrix environment

Requirements For Azure Cloud Developer/Engineer

  • 8+ years of software development experience
  • Minimum 3 years of professional development experience with .NET Core, C#
  • Strong Experience in cloud technologies (Azure)
  • Experience in building Event-Driven microservices
  • Understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns and data structures
  • Knowledge of Test-Driven Development and common testing frameworks
  • Experience of DevOps and working in an Agile Software team
  • Good collaboration skills to work in an onshore-offshore model
