Description For Engineer/Sr. Engineer - Power Electronics

Copeland, a global leader in climate technologies with $5 billion in revenue, is seeking an Engineer/Sr. Engineer in Power Electronics to join their Electronics and Control business unit. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the next generation of variable speed power electronics products. The position involves developing and coordinating engineering product design activities for variable speed drive products, working with both internal and external teams.

The role requires a blend of technical expertise in electronics hardware/firmware development and strong project management skills. You'll be responsible for developing product specifications, executing design reviews, ensuring product compliance, and managing engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of technical experience and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

Working from the Sidney, OH campus, which features 1M square feet of manufacturing space and 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities, you'll be part of a team of 1600 employees. Responsibilities For Engineer/Sr. Engineer - Power Electronics

  • Develop and coordinate engineering product design-related activities for variable speed drive products
  • Develop product specifications, test specifications, design schedules & cost references
  • Coordinate and execute design reviews, performance, qualification, and reliability test plans
  • Review and interpret agency standards for product compliance
  • Execute Engineering design Changes (ECNs)
  • Perform competitive product analysis and assist in supplier selection

Requirements For Engineer/Sr. Engineer - Power Electronics

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field
  • 2-4 years of technical experience in electronics hardware/firmware development
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of electronics hardware and/or firmware
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks with a global team
