This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with in-office work Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays. As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll be instrumental in developing high-performance web applications that serve thousands of users globally, utilizing modern technologies like React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
The position requires 8+ years of production development experience and offers an opportunity to work on significant projects while mentoring junior developers and influencing technical decisions. Responsibilities For Lead Software Engineer
- Design and develop high performance web applications used by thousands of users globally
- Drive continuous improvement by focusing on engineering excellence
- Influence CI/CD pipeline improvements
- Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers across the organization
- Mentor junior developers, review code and architecture, and promote software development best practices
- Evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities and best practices
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the CRE Industry and CoStar's business model/technology
Requirements For Lead Software Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited, not for profit university or college
- 8+ years of production development experience in modern technologies
- Experience with React, Vue, TypeScript, NodeJS, C#, .Net, OpenSearch, Kafka, SQL, NoSQL
- Track record of building and launching successful products and platforms
- Experience with cloud technologies like AWS, Cloud Managed Services
- Experience in Agile/Scrum processes and Continuous delivery practices
- Experience in unit, performance, and automation testing
- Deep understanding of business drivers
- Ability to mentor developers and build consensus
