Creditas is seeking a Principal Engineer for a position affirming women in technology. This role is based in São Paulo, Brazil, with a hybrid work model (3 weeks remote, 1 week in-office per month).

As a Principal Engineer at Creditas, you will:

• Lead technical strategy, aligning long-term directions with business needs across multiple squads and tribes.
• Mentor and coach other engineers and technical leaders, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Define and implement complex, scalable system architectures for both backend and frontend.
• Drive innovation by identifying new technologies and approaches that can provide competitive advantages.
• Tackle the most complex technical challenges, serving as the ultimate resource for problem-solving.
• Work closely with product and business stakeholders to ensure technical directions align with strategic goals.
• Define and maintain technical standards and quality across the organization.

Requirements:

• Advanced experience in backend languages including Java/Kotlin, Python, Ruby, and Go.
• Solid experience with modern frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Expertise in system architecture patterns, 12 Factor principles, and modern practices for scalable, resilient, and secure application development.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), infrastructure as code (Terraform), Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
• Proven ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex problems in production environments.
• Strategic vision and ability to align technical directions with business needs.
