Description For Civil Structural Engineer

Crusoe Energy is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to join their team. This role requires broad technical knowledge and experience with structural design components of medium and low voltage electrical power distribution buildings and substation projects, including steel structure and foundation analysis & design. The ideal candidate will work closely with Project Managers, the Director of Engineering, and other team members to lead, oversee, review, and execute structural engineering tasks for various projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and analyzing industrial structural members and foundations
  • Reviewing and approving drawings for PE Stamping
  • Collaborating with CAD designers and other engineers
  • Supporting multiple projects concurrently
  • Performing quality checks and reviews

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with AutoDesk software, Solidworks, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical software
  • Familiarity with industry standards (NESC, NEC, IEEE, ANSI, ASCE-113)

Responsibilities For Civil Structural Engineer

  • Lead, oversee, review, and execute structural engineering tasks for industrial structural members
  • Execute foundation design tasks for industrial power and datacenter structures
  • Support physical building layout designs, plans, elevations/sections, details, and associated bills of materials
  • Review and approve drawings for final PE Stamping
  • Prepare and review specifications for construction & materials
  • Perform quality checks and reviews for project deliverables
  • Collaborate with engineering team members and CAD designers
  • Support multiple projects concurrently
  • Assist with developing technical papers and presentations
  • Participate in project reviews

Requirements For Civil Structural Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Structural Engineer experience
  • Experience with AutoDesk software, Solidworks, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical software
  • Familiarity with the latest NESC, NEC, IEEE, ANSI, ASCE-113 and other industry standards
  • Experience using industry standard design software, including PLS software, Solidworks, and Mathcad Prime
