The position requires 7+ years of experience and offers a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $210,000 plus equity.
The role focuses on designing and operating robust Kubernetes environments and scalable infrastructure systems. You'll be responsible for implementing container networking, developing event-driven platforms, and maintaining API interfaces. Responsibilities For Staff Cloud Availability Platform Engineer
- Design, deploy, and operate Kubernetes infrastructure for multi-tenant, distributed applications
- Implement and optimize container and host networking stack
- Build and evolve event-driven platforms using Kafka, NATS, or cloud-native pub/sub systems
- Develop and maintain API interfaces (REST/gRPC)
- Drive improvements in system reliability, scalability, and observability
- Collaborate with SREs, security engineers, and backend developers
- Contribute to and maintain infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines
Requirements For Staff Cloud Availability Platform Engineer
- 7+ years of experience in platform, backend, or infrastructure engineering roles
- Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes internals, deployment patterns, and operational tooling
- Strong understanding of networking in containerized environments
- Practical experience implementing and supporting event-driven systems at scale
- Ability to build and evolve API-driven infrastructure
- Familiarity with observability tooling like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
- Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools and CI/CD pipelines
