Datadog is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Dependency Management team within the Developer Experience Org. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on a rapidly growing product. As part of this team, you'll work on automating the software lifecycle management for all of Datadog Engineering, improving developer experience, and ensuring a secure and up-to-date software supply chain.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, implementing, owning, and supporting key components end-to-end
- Writing substantial amounts of code and leading architectural decisions for new and existing services
- Running a lightweight agile process to pace and track work and deliver high-quality results
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated builder with 4+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in Java, Python, or Go. Experience with developer tooling, developer experience projects, and working in a fast-paced startup environment is highly valued. Additional skills in areas such as Go-Lang, artifactory, testing frameworks, package managers, GitHub APIs, vulnerability management, software inventory management, and code ownership are considered bonuses.

Requirements For Software Engineer - Developer Experience
- 4+ years of experience working on backend engineering preferably using one of Java / Python / Go language
- Proven ability to own and deliver features in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
- Experience with working on developer tooling / developer experience projects
- Self-motivated, self-starter builder who takes pride in solving problems for customers
- Ability to identify customer needs and pain points proactively
