Software Engineer with Systems Depth

Datadog is seeking a Software Engineer with Systems Depth to join our team. This role leverages experience with systems and tooling to build software that ensures Datadog remains reliable, performant, and secure. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in building and managing large cloud infrastructure deployments, leading reliability efforts, or building release machinery for large development teams.

Key areas of expertise may include (but are not limited to):

• Build tooling (e.g., Bazel)
• Distributed systems (e.g., Cassandra, Kafka)
• Container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Configuration management (e.g., Chef, Terraform)
• Network architecture and load balancing
• Database management (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis)
• Service discovery and RPC frameworks

This role offers an opportunity to work on critical internal platforms and tools that form the foundation of Datadog's products. You'll be part of a team that ensures hundreds or thousands of developers can work efficiently without conflicts.
