Dell Technologies is seeking a Security Automation Engineer to join their Security & Resiliency organization in Bangalore. This senior technical role will focus on designing and implementing scalable, automated security solutions across Dell's technology landscape. The position involves working with cross-functional teams to build intelligent and resilient automation pipelines, requiring deep expertise in programming, security infrastructure, and modern AI technologies.

Responsibilities For Security Automation Engineer

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable systems and tools to automate complex security tasks across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Build and optimize security workflows, pipelines, and orchestration processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and embed security capabilities
  • Advocate for security best practices and automation across the organization
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and playbooks
  • Troubleshoot and optimize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management tools

Requirements For Security Automation Engineer

  • Hands-on experience with scripting and programming languages, including Python, PowerShell, Bash, and TypeScript/Node.js
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, CSPs, Automation tools, Configuration as Code, Policy as Code, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Proven experience in automating security tasks across hybrid cloud environments
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and integration of third-party security tools
  • Skilled in applying IaC scanning tools like Checkov, tfsec, OPA/Conftest
