Description For Environmental Sustainability Program Manager

The Environmental Sustainability Program Manager at The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) will focus on establishing formal Enterprise-level Project Management processes and tools for TWDC's environmental goals. The role involves creating and maintaining a master inventory of major Environmental Initiatives, designing tracking processes, establishing consistent taxonomies for work categorization, and working with stakeholders to calculate environmental and financial impacts of initiatives. Key responsibilities include managing department spending, developing business requirements for IT systems, assisting in project planning, and supporting the creation of Environmental Dashboards. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate financial reporting, project management, and environmental sustainability.

The role is part of the Enterprise Environmental Sustainability Team, which oversees the Company's progress towards its 2030 Environmental Goals focused on emissions, water, waste, materials, and sustainable design. The team partners with key corporate functions and business segments to develop pathways to the Company's goals and guide their implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Project Management
  • 5+ years of private sector experience focused on project or program management
  • Experience with corporate financial reporting and analysis
  • Proficiency in software such as Excel, Power BI, Smartsheet or equivalents

Desirable qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Environmental sustainability experience
  • Environmental credential
  • Project / Program Management credential

The position offers a competitive total rewards package, including health insurance, childcare options, paid time off, retirement programs, tuition assistance, and weekly pay. The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $113,800.00 to $152,500.00 per year, with additional benefits depending on the level and position offered.

Responsibilities For Environmental Sustainability Program Manager

  • Create and maintain a master inventory of major Environmental Initiatives
  • Design and implement a process to track progress of Environmental Initiatives
  • Establish consistent taxonomy for work categorization and descriptions
  • Calculate forecast/actual capital and operating costs, and economic benefits from environmental initiatives
  • Manage Enterprise Environmental Sustainability department spending and annual operating plans
  • Develop business requirements for IT systems to house Environmental Initiatives data
  • Assist in creation of detailed project plans for key initiatives
  • Participate in designing data visualizations for Environmental Dashboards
  • Support Environmental Sustainability team leadership in initiative review and governance
