Lead Java Software Engineer - Disney Vacation Club

This Lead Java Software Engineer role sits in the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) organization within Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences. As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing custom and SaaS vendor product integration, cloud integration, and application integration. You'll own and lead large development programs and teams from ideation through implementation, working with both onshore and offshore resources.

You'll be expected to demonstrate expert-level Java skills and deep knowledge of microservices, RESTful Web Services, and event-driven architecture. The role requires strong leadership abilities to mentor team members, perform code reviews, and establish best practices. You'll work closely with technical and non-technical leaders to strategize on delivery approaches and manage dependencies.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of software engineering experience, with expertise in Java, microservices, and event-driven architectures. You should be comfortable working in an agile environment and have advanced experience with databases and software performance optimization. Experience with cloud technologies, JavaScript frameworks, and the timeshare industry would be advantageous.
