Lead Machine Learning Engineer

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join their innovative team. This role sits at the intersection of machine learning infrastructure and large-scale production systems, working on platforms that serve millions of users across Disney+, Hulu, ABC News, and ESPN.

The position involves leading the development and enhancement of machine learning platforms that power critical business functions including personalization, recommendation systems, fraud prevention, and capacity planning. You'll be working with petabyte-scale datasets and building infrastructure that enables continuous learning and inference while maintaining high system availability.

As a Lead ML Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining ETL pipelines, managing a central feature store, and building self-service interfaces for ML workflows. The role requires expertise in both ML technologies (TensorFlow, Kubeflow, PyTorch) and big data processing tools (Databricks, AWS, Spark).

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $167,700 to $246,400 depending on location, plus bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits. You'll be working in a hybrid environment across multiple possible locations including New York, Seattle, San Francisco, and Santa Monica.
