Description For Lead Software Engineer

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is at the forefront of reimagining magical viewing experiences for the world's most beloved stories while transforming the media business for the future. The Tooling Ecosystem (TECO) team is responsible for managing critical Content Portal and CoCo applications that maintain streaming metadata accuracy.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll be working on:

  • Designing and building robust software applications for high performance solutions
  • Managing AWS infrastructure supporting tooling ecosystems
  • Improving overall performance of Content Portal and CoCo applications
  • Leading architectural discussions and setting best practices
  • Mentoring and providing career growth opportunities for team members
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and requirements
  • Contributing to a culture of collaboration and innovation

Requirements For Lead Software Engineer

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of web development experience
  • Experience building consumer-facing single-page applications in JavaScript
  • Experience developing rich, interactive UIs using frameworks like React, Angular, Vue
  • Experience building services using REST and GraphQL
