This role is crucial in building and maintaining their global content metadata management platform that serves millions of viewers. The role involves leading technical architecture and implementation of services that manage millions of titles delivered to hundreds of millions of viewers. You'll be working with content from over 1500 partners, managing content accessibility and distribution. The position requires cross-functional collaboration with product teams, operations, project management, and various engineering teams.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of streaming technology, working with modern tech stack including Java, Python, AWS services, and various database technologies. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $152,200 to $223,600 depending on location, plus additional benefits and bonuses.

Requirements For Lead Software Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar language and frameworks like Spring Boot or Django
  • Experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals and data structures
  • Experience with web services, preferably AWS
  • Strong sense of ownership
