Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is a global organization seeking a Lead Software Engineer to help deliver excellent streaming experiences for Hulu, migrating apps to their new unified player to improve native playback experience on PlayStation, Xbox, Android, and other platforms.
The role involves leading the development of new playback features for Hulu and integrating their cross-platform C/C++ and Rust player that runs across Disney brands and apps. The team is responsible for native playback across several devices including gaming consoles, mobile devices, and set top boxes.
As a lead engineer, you will own large features, lead technical direction, and mentor other engineers. You'll work closely with application layer teams and backend video services to deliver features. The position requires expertise in C/C++ or Rust development, with a focus on video player and cross-platform development, particularly Xbox and Windows UWP.

The compensation package includes a competitive base salary range of $166,800 to $223,600, plus potential bonuses, long-term incentives, and comprehensive benefits.
