Principal Software Engineer

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is a global organization powering Disney's media business worldwide. As a Principal Software Engineer in the Commerce team, you'll be building critical systems that power all Commerce workflows within the organization.

The role involves working with distributed teams to build reliable, high-request services supporting user experiences across web, mobile, and living room devices. You'll be identifying patterns for scale, creating proposals, and driving their adoption across teams. The position requires challenging current architectural choices while collaborating on innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience building large-scale Java/Scala services, strong CS fundamentals, and excellent communication skills. You'll be working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment helping shape the future of Disney's media platforms including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, and ABC.

The role offers competitive compensation ($193,100-$270,700 depending on location) plus bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.
