The Global Information Security (GIS) organization is dedicated to securing Disney's magic by implementing best-in-class services to assess, prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats. As a Senior Security Engineer in our Security Operations Team, you'll be part of a highly skilled group of engineers and analysts focused on providing tools and services that secure the environment.
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Managing daily operational activities for TWDC endpoint tooling
- Developing and implementing security solutions
- Performing deep system analysis to identify and address cyber security challenges
- Driving security risk decisions and influencing technical architecture
- Participating in architectural designs for new solutions
- Monitoring industry trends and implementing best practices
- Writing custom scripts in languages like Python
- Developing risk mitigation strategies
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 5+ years of security engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of network and IT security components
- Expertise in web and mobile application security
- Problem-solving and analytical skills

- Responsible for daily operational activities for TWDC endpoint tooling
- Conceptualize and develop solutions to improve security posture
- Lead projects from conception to design to implementation
- Perform deep analysis of systems to identify cyber security challenges
- Drive security risk decisions and influence technical architecture
- Participate in architectural designs for new solutions
- Monitor industry trends and identify best practices
- Generate basic customized scripts in common languages
- Identify risk and develop appropriate mitigation plans
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer - Security Operations
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Security Engineer or Architect
- Working knowledge of network and IT security components
- Knowledge of common web and mobile application vulnerabilities
- Ability to solve complex problems and develop creative alternatives
- Demonstrated professional written, verbal, and presentation communications skills
- Understanding of project management principles
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering
