Senior Software Engineer

Disney Experiences (DX) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Disney Cruise Line organization within Technology & Digital. The role focuses on creating and supporting Disney Cruise Line services used by the Disney Cruise Line Mobile app. The team is responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience across various business lines including Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise.

The position involves leading small projects encompassing analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of software enhancements. The engineer will work on large or highly sophisticated software programs and systems, particularly focusing on component-level coding. They will be responsible for designing and developing highly scalable software systems and applications.

Working in an agile environment, the role requires strong proficiency in Java 17, Spring Boot, and MariaDB, with an emphasis on continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies. The position offers the opportunity to work with various teams across the company while contributing to world-class immersive digital experiences for Disney's premier vacation brands.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of related work experience and a strong background in software engineering. They will be responsible for interacting with users to define system requirements, conceiving and implementing new systems, and ensuring high-quality code delivery through testing and debugging.

This role is primarily on-site with occasional work from home opportunities in Celebration, FL, working for one of the world's most renowned entertainment companies.
