Disney Entertainment and ESPN Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Android team, focusing on the Disney eXperience Composer (DXC) platform. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining the Renderer component of their bespoke solution for interactive experiences.

The position offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and creativity, building world-class products that enhance storytelling and drive innovation. As part of the Product Engineering team, you'll be responsible for engineering Disney Entertainment & ESPN digital and streaming products and platforms, directly impacting millions of global consumers.

The role involves working with Disney Markup Language (DML) and developing renderer technologies for consumer-facing interactive experiences. You'll be collaborating across teams to design and implement features that expand the Renderer's capabilities while ensuring optimal performance and low memory footprint.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $138,900 to $203,900 depending on location, plus additional benefits and potential bonuses. Requirements For Senior Software Engineer - Android

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end application development with proficiency in writing optimized Kotlin solutions
  • Leadership ability and problem-solving skills
  • Experience building consumer-facing interactive experiences
  • Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals
  • Extensive experience with the Android development ecosystem
  • Experience developing sophisticated user interfaces
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field
