Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape the future of their Ad Technology's Generative AI platform. This role sits at the intersection of backend systems, AI orchestration, and enterprise automation, focusing on building reusable capabilities and intelligent agents that streamline critical operational workflows.

You'll be responsible for engineering reusable GenAI platform services and building production-ready agents using frameworks like LangGraph and LangChain.

You'll work on everything from prompt orchestration and secure gateway abstraction to embedding infrastructure and audit systems. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of backend experience and a deep understanding of AI/ML technologies.

Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer

  • Design and build reusable GenAI platform components
  • Develop multi-turn LLM agents and tools using LangGraph and LangChain
  • Build robust APIs, SDKs, and accelerator components
  • Standardize approaches to context management, tool calling, fallback handling, and observability
  • Ensure platform components meet security, governance, and compliance standards
  • Partner with infrastructure, data, security, and product teams

Requirements For Senior Software Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of backend or platform engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience integrating with LLM APIs
  • Proficient in Python
  • Familiarity with observability practices for LLM-based systems
  • Experience with LLM evaluation and testing frameworks
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native design patterns
