The position involves developing and maintaining the Disney+ client app for Roku streaming devices and smart TVs, working with BrightScript and SceneGraph SDK. You'll be responsible for creating engaging viewer experiences, from onboarding flows to browse and playback interfaces, while ensuring optimal performance across various devices.
As a senior engineer, you'll contribute to both client-side development and supporting infrastructure, including JavaScript/React-based tools, build systems, and AWS services. The role requires collaboration with multiple engineering teams and product owners to deliver high-quality streaming experiences.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of development experience, with particular expertise in BrightScript and MVVM architecture. You should be comfortable mentoring junior developers and working on complex technical solutions. Experience with performance optimization, unit testing, and DevOps practices is highly valued.
This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $138,900 to $203,900 depending on location (LA, NY, Seattle, or SF), plus potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
