Senior Software Engineer - NCP

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Native Client Platform team. This role is crucial in developing the Disney eXperience Composer, a bespoke solution for serving interactive experiences to users.

The position involves working with the Disney Markup Language (DML) and Renderer component, where you'll be responsible for:

• Participating in the specification and design of Disney Markup Language
• Designing, implementing, and testing features that expand the Renderer capabilities
• Supporting integration with Client engineers across Disney's streaming brands

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop optimized Rust and Javascript/Typescript solutions with a low memory footprint
• Build consumer-facing interactive experiences

• Participate in cross-team coordination and technical leadership

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of front-end application development experience
• Strong proficiency in Rust and Javascript/Typescript
• Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals
• Experience building consumer-facing interactive experiences
• Leadership ability and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
