Description For Senior Software Engineer - NCP

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Native Client Platform team, specifically working on the Disney eXperience Composer (DXC). This role is crucial in developing and maintaining the renderer component of their bespoke solution for serving interactive experiences to users worldwide.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and entertainment, building systems that directly impact millions of global consumers. As part of the Product Engineering team, you'll be responsible for engineering Disney Entertainment & ESPN digital and streaming products and platforms.

The role involves working with Disney Markup Language (DML), a custom protocol used for rendering interactive experiences. You'll be collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test features that expand the renderer's capabilities while ensuring optimal performance and low memory footprint.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers who are passionate about building consumer-facing interactive experiences and want to work with modern technologies like Rust and TypeScript.   • Participate in the specification and design of Disney Markup Language (DML)
  • Design, implement, and test features that expand the capabilities of the Renderer
  • Support the integration of platform's Renderer component with Client engineers
  • Build and maintain the Disney eXperience Composer renderer component

Requirements For Senior Software Engineer - NCP

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end application development
  • Proficiency in writing optimized Rust and Javascript/Typescript solutions
  • Leadership ability and problem-solving skills
  • Experience building consumer-facing interactive experiences

  • Experience developing sophisticated user interfaces
