Description For Software Engineer I

Technology is at the heart of Disney's past, present, and future. As part of the Living Room Devices, Native Client Platform (NCP Client) engineering team, you'll help build the Disney+ Direct-to-Consumer client app for streaming Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Hulu, ESPN, NatGeo, and ABC News content on PlayStation, Xbox, cable set-top-boxes, and smart TVs.

The role involves developing client app experiences using the Rust programming language, working on features from onboarding to browse UI/UX experiences, analytics, and video playback. You'll collaborate with Sony, Microsoft, and other partners to vet new hardware, firmware, and certification requirements.

Requirements For Software Engineer I

  • Familiarity with commonly used development tools and IDEs
