Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Software Engineer I to join their Android development team. This role is part of Disney's global organization that builds and advances the technological backbone for Disney's media business worldwide. Responsibilities For Software Engineer I

  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using Java/Kotlin
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high code quality
  • Write and maintain unit and UI tests
  • Collaborate with QA and automation engineers
  • Work with Product Managers and Designers to review feature requirements
  • Contribute to architectural decisions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple Android devices and OS versions
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and methodologies

Requirements For Software Engineer I

  • 0-2 years of professional experience developing Android applications
  • Strong foundation in Java and/or Kotlin
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field
