Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Software Engineer I to join their Living Room Devices, Native Client Platform (NCP Client) engineering team. This role focuses on building the Disney+ streaming application for platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, cable set-top-boxes, and smart TVs. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while delivering content from Disney's impressive portfolio including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Hulu, ESPN, NatGeo, and ABC News.

The role involves developing client applications using Rust programming language, working with front-end technologies, and implementing rich user interfaces. Responsibilities For Software Engineer I

  • Build client app experiences in the Rust programming language
  • Develop new application features including onboarding, browse UI/UX experiences, analytics, and video playback
  • Contribute to development of tools and systems like configuration, deployment, validation, and performance monitoring
  • Work with partners (Sony, Microsoft) to vet hardware, firmware, and certification requirements
  • Collaborate with SDK engineering, design engineering, and services engineering teams

Requirements For Software Engineer I
