Description For Software Engineer II

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is a global organization of engineers, product developers, designers, technologists, data scientists, and more – all working to build and advance the technological backbone for Disney's media business globally.

As a Software Engineer II, you will be joining the Content Platforms & Operations team, responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney's linear networks and theatrical content. You will use your coding and data skills to write and test code that delivers enhancements and new features for our Rights & Accounting applications portfolio.

We're looking for a Web UI Engineer to join our team and help build intuitive, performant, and accessible web applications. You will work closely with product designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders to create engaging user experiences using modern web technologies. The role requires expertise in React, TypeScript, and JavaScript, with a focus on developing responsive and high-performance web applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing responsive web applications using modern frameworks
  • Collaborating with UX/UI designers on user experience decisions
  • Writing clean, maintainable code and optimizing frontend performance
  • Integrating with APIs and backend services
  • Participating in code reviews and technical discussions

Required qualifications:

  • 3+ years of web development experience
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with UI performance optimization
  • Solid debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
