As part of the Watch Experience team, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining backend APIs that serve millions of users, collaborating with client app teams, and ensuring system resilience during live sporting events. The role includes participation in LiveOps and OnCall rotations, especially during major sports and media events.
The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience with Java development, strong knowledge of cloud-native development (particularly AWS), and experience with monitoring and observability tools. Disney offers a competitive compensation package, with base salary ranging from $114,900 to $168,700 depending on location (Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, or San Francisco). The package includes bonus potential, long-term incentive units, and comprehensive medical and financial benefits.
