As a Senior Manager of Technical Project Management, you'll lead a team creating world-class immersive digital experiences for Disney's premier vacation brands including Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, and more. You'll be responsible for leading and mentoring project managers and business analysts dedicated to implementing large-scale software development projects. The role involves partnering with Product, Engineering, Design, and business groups to promote transparency and accuracy in forecasting, project planning, and delivery processes. You'll manage projects ranging from $1.0M to $15M+, drive strategic planning, and ensure successful project delivery while maintaining strong communication with executive stakeholders. The position offers the opportunity to work on innovative technologies and shape the future of guest experiences across Disney's global entertainment portfolio. The role requires strong leadership skills, technical project management expertise, and the ability to drive multiple concurrent projects in a complex, matrixed organization.
Responsibilities For Sr Manager, Technical Project Management
- Lead team of project managers driving cross-functional projects through full delivery life cycle
- Lead team of business analysts and project managers for capital projects $1.0M - $15M+
- Ensure accurate program project closure including retrospectives and transition
- Lead strategic planning and prioritization
- Establish project financial forecasts including resource plans
- Use metrics to drive performance, efficiency and forecast improvements
Requirements For Sr Manager, Technical Project Management
- Minimum of 10 years of technical project/program management and leading large, multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in a matrixed organization working with multiple leaders on parallel efforts
- Significant practical experience in project estimation, planning, resource planning, issue management, risk management
- Excellent business communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Comfortable communicating with executive level in presentations and meetings
