Sr Software Engineer

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Core Data & Services team within the DEET organization. This role is crucial in building and maintaining the foundational datasets and data pipelines that power Disney's streaming business. The position offers an opportunity to work on large-scale systems that impact millions of consumers across platforms like Disney+, Hulu, ABC News, and ESPN.

The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies including Airflow, Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, Snowflake, Scala, and Python. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining code that powers critical data infrastructure, enabling dozens of engineering and analytical teams to make key business decisions. The position requires expertise in building efficient, reusable components and implementing best practices for observability, lineage, data quality, logging, and alerting.
