Description For Senior Full Vehicle CAE Engineer

Divergent is seeking a Senior Full Vehicle CAE Engineer to join their innovative team in Torrance, CA. As a qualified Tier 1 supplier to global automotive OEMs, Divergent is expanding to support mission-critical needs in the Aerospace and Defense sector.

In this role, you'll perform detailed engineering analysis on structural components and systems using CAD and CAE programs. You'll build and analyze CAE models of Node™-based vehicle structures for crash/safety performance validations, engage in crash/nonlinear analyses using LS-DYNA, and create non-linear material models for advanced materials.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting CAE simulations to assess car performance in crash scenarios
  • Creating and executing new technical solutions for vehicle structures
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design optimized structures
  • Writing and presenting detailed analysis reports

Requirements:

  • Master of Science in any Engineering field
  • At least 2 years of experience in CAE simulations for supercar structures, vehicle root cause investigations, lightweight optimization, and proficiency in meshing software (Ansa, Hyperworks) and CAE software (LS-DYNA, Radioss, Optistruct)
