Sr. Data Engineer I

DoubleVerify, having recently acquired Scibids, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer I to join their team in Paris, France. This role sits at the intersection of AI-powered digital campaign activation and data engineering excellence. The position is part of the core Data Engineering team responsible for managing critical data communications between Scibids and its partners.

The role involves working with diverse and volumetric data, creating ETL jobs to process information from various sources including APIs, CSV, Avro, and Parquet formats handling millions of rows of data. You'll be contributing to the development of reverse ETL processes for model uploads and creating APIs for inter-team communications.

The technical environment includes Python, Prefect, and extensive use of Google Cloud services including BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Datastore, and Cloud Run. This position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the digital advertising space, focusing on media transparency and accountability.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience as a data engineer, strong proficiency in SQL and Python, and experience working with large datasets. Knowledge of distributed systems and information retrieval is highly valued. The role requires someone who can write efficient, simple code following the KISS principle and has the ability to adapt to new technologies as needed.
