Responsibilities For Desktop Support Engineer

  • Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, and remote access tools
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate IT teams and follow up
  • Provide Tier 2 level support, Escalation point for Tier 1 level support
  • Maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions using ticketing system
  • Support user account management, including password resets and access permissions
  • Assist with IT security measures, including antivirus updates and system patches
  • Provide guidance and training to end users on IT best practices

Requirements For Desktop Support Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/related field
  • 5-3 years IT helpdesk, network support, or computer repair
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technology and licensing (Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Office, MS SQL, etc.) and MAC OS
  • Advanced knowledge in Active Directory, Exchange, O365, Azure, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and remote desktop tools
  • Basic networking/LAN experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
