GIS Engineer II - Geocoding Content

Esri is seeking a GIS Engineer II to join their geocoding products team, focusing on the ArcGIS Online World Geocoding Service, World Geocoder, and ArcGIS StreetMap Premium. This role combines technical expertise in GIS with data evaluation and implementation skills.

The position involves working with a specialized team to enhance Esri's global geocoding capabilities. Key responsibilities include evaluating and implementing domestic and international data, supporting the geocoding software development team, and improving the overall user experience.

As a GIS Engineer II, you'll be responsible for:

• Managing and evaluating data contributions for the Community Maps for Addresses program
• Providing technical guidance to contributors
• Converting and implementing data into master databases
• Researching authoritative open-data sources globally
• Analyzing and resolving geocoding issues
• Supporting data and software testing initiatives

The ideal candidate should have:

• 2+ years of GIS data experience
• Strong Python scripting abilities
• Advanced SQL query expertise
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
