Senior Data Scientist / Data Developer

EvE Bio, a non-profit organization in Durham, NC, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist/Developer to join their data science team as its second member. This role combines technical expertise with product management responsibilities, focusing on maintaining and developing data applications and infrastructure.

The position requires strong R programming skills, particularly with Shiny applications, and experience in R package development. The team utilizes various technologies including Quarto, Observable JS, and DuckDB, with deployments through Posit Connect. The role involves managing both internal and external data-oriented applications, including their public data product available at data.evebio.org.
