Backend Software Engineer, AI Platform

EvenUp is a rapidly growing generative AI startup revolutionizing the personal injury legal sector. As a Backend Software Engineer on the AI Platform team, you'll be at the forefront of making LLMs more accessible to engineering teams. The role involves working with cutting-edge legal industry large language models that extract and summarize client documents.

You'll join a diverse team of Data Scientists, Researchers, and Software Engineers, tackling complex challenges at the intersection of programming, LLM integration, and experimentation. Key responsibilities include designing scalable systems for LLM-based algorithms, taking ownership of projects from inception to deployment, and implementing robust code using Python, Postgres, Kubernetes, and Elasticsearch.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in building frameworks, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs, with a focus on reliability and performance. You should thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and have strong Python programming skills. Experience with AI, legal tech, or social impact projects is a plus.
