Senior Software Engineer

Everbridge, a global leader in Critical Event Management, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Risk Events Platform team in Hungary. This remote position offers an opportunity to work on a high-impact platform that processes real-time risk data from various sources including weather, wildfires, and disease outbreaks. The role combines backend development using Scala/Java with Spring Boot and frontend work in React, while leveraging AWS services and modern DevOps practices.

The position requires expertise in distributed systems and cloud architecture, with a focus on building secure, scalable solutions that meet FedRAMP and DoD compliance requirements. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality services, managing infrastructure as code, and participating in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability.

As a senior engineer, you'll have the opportunity to mentor junior team members, drive technical discussions, and collaborate across functions with Product, Test Engineers, and Tech Support. The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of software engineering experience, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.
