Lead Data Visualization Developer

Excella is seeking a Lead Data Visualization Developer to create reports and dashboards using popular tools to support self-service analytics environments for our clients. This role is crucial in transforming complex datasets into intuitive, easy-to-use dashboards and reports that help decision-makers answer questions.

As a Lead Data Visualization Developer, you will:

• Interact directly with client stakeholders to understand their needs
• Use SQL queries to explore and understand data sources
• Create prototypes and complex reports/dashboards using tools like Tableau and PowerBI
• Ensure data quality and accuracy in reports
• Follow data visualization and design best practices
• Create and deliver end-user training and documentation

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years developing reports and dashboards using Business Intelligence Tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)
• 3+ years writing simple to medium complexity SQL queries
• Strong understanding of relational database structures
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality checking
• Strong written communication skills
• User-centered approach to developing data visualization products
• Enthusiasm for learning new features in tools like Tableau and PowerBI
