Software Engineer, Product Engineering (London, United Kingdom)

Figma is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Product Engineering team, focusing on their developer tools pillar. This role is central to evolving Dev Mode, Figma's innovative solution for developer-designer collaboration, and building new products in the developer tools space.

The position offers an opportunity to work with modern technologies including TypeScript, React/Redux, and WebAssembly, while contributing to Figma's mission of making design accessible to all. The team is responsible for streamlining the development lifecycle and improving the handoff between designers and developers, with the ultimate goal of enabling frontend engineers to work more efficiently.

In 2023, the team launched Dev Mode, a comprehensive suite of features that revolutionizes how developers interact with design files and transform designs into code. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to push the boundaries of design-development collaboration, with future initiatives aimed at further accelerating front-end development.

The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in shipping user-facing features, strong proficiency in React & TypeScript, and excellent cross-functional communication skills. Additional valuable experience includes working with C++, Ruby/Rails, mobile development, and leading large-scale engineering projects.
