As a Staff Software Engineer in Core Tech, you'll be instrumental in driving data privacy initiatives and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. You'll work on delivering a shared software development platform for Figure's Lending as a Service solution, emphasizing data privacy for partners and customers. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with diverse teams across Engineering, Data Science, Product, and Leadership
- Working with DevOps, SecOps, and business teams to provide a secure platform of core services
- Partnering with security and compliance to meet and tighten data privacy policies
- Protecting partner data in a financial-grade, multitenant environment
- Providing guidance and troubleshooting issues for development teams
- Designing and implementing systems for security and privacy concerns
- Enhancing and optimizing existing tech infrastructure
The ideal candidate will have:
- BS/BA or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
- 8+ years of software engineering experience in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Leadership experience with multitenant architecture products
- Expertise in designing data architectures focusing on privacy, lineage, and governance
- Experience implementing PII regulations and partner requirements
- Strong self-starter abilities and project management skills

Requirements For Staff Software Engineer, Core Tech
- BS/BA or greater in Computer Science, Statistics, or a similar field
- 8+ years of software engineering experience in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Leadership experience working on big products with a multitenant architecture
- Expertise in designing and refining data architectures in a multitenant environment
- Hands-on experience with implementing measures to meet PII regulations and partner requirements
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to execute work with minimal supervision
- A track record in conceptualizing and building end-to-end
- Ability to drive a project from concept to release
