The role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development of end-to-end web applications and services, working alongside cross-functional teams including Product, Data Science, Compliance, and Security. You'll be responsible for architecting scalable systems, championing secure coding practices, and mentoring junior engineers, all while contributing to a mission-driven culture that's making real impact in the PropTech space.
The position requires 6+ years of full-stack development experience, with expertise in modern technologies including Node.js, Python, Java, and various database systems. The compensation package is highly competitive, ranging from $180,000 to $210,000, plus pre-IPO equity. Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end web applications and services
- Partner with Product, Data Science, Compliance, and Security to define, scope, and deliver impactful projects
- Architect scalable, performant, and secure systems
- Own features from concept to integration
- Champion secure coding practices, reusability, and maintainability
- Contribute to team performance through mentorship, code reviews, and documentation
- Improve site performance and observability
- Help prioritize features and navigate trade-offs
Requirements For Senior Software Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, bootcamp or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of full-stack development experience
- Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Skilled in API design (REST, GraphQL, SOAP) and service-oriented architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms, containers, and orchestration tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Understanding of security best practices and data privacy regulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proven leadership in mentoring and technical decision-making
