Responsibilities For Network Security Engineer
- Partner with Product Management, Development, and other Engineers to install and support firewall management solutions
- Provide technical expertise during application development process
- Build and maintain test labs, assist in software design
- Assist in testing software solutions
- Gather technical requirements for integrating with security devices
- Work with product managers, architects, and developers on software integration
- Setup, manage and maintain security devices in test lab
- Create and execute test cases
- Serve as support escalation point for complex integration issues
- Create internal KB documentation for known configurations
Requirements For Network Security Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
- 3 or more years of network design and support
- Expertise in networking and/or security
- Experience with packet trace and analysis techniques and tools
- Experience with network security tools (firewalls, IPS, routers, switches, proxies)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and platforms
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Outstanding problem-solving skills
- Regex experience
- Flexible and able to handle multiple tasks
- Cisco, Check Point, Juniper, Palo Alto expertise preferred
