Description For Software Engineer II, Android

Our Shopper Consideration Platform allows retailers and manufacturers to create digital experiences from their savings & deals content, aiding shoppers in deciding what to buy and where to buy it.

As a Software Engineer (Android), you will work alongside a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers and designers to create a world-class experience for our Flipp app users. In this role, you will own the full SDLC to develop scalable, secure, robust and user-friendly solutions in order to meet business demands. You will provide mentorship for more junior developers to help grow the technical capabilities of the team, and contribute to larger technical initiatives across the Engineering organization.

  • Collaborate with the project owner and technical leadership to distill requirements for upcoming features

Responsibilities For Software Engineer II, Android

Requirements For Software Engineer II, Android

Kotlin
  • 3+ years of Android development experience
  • Proven experience with Kotlin and MVVM design pattern
  • Strong experience with Git, Design Systems
  • Track record of delivering end to end solutions with focus on quality and robustness
  • Working knowledge of Jetpack Compose
  • Working knowledge of multi-threaded programming
  • Experience in developing, testing, releasing, and maintaining Android libraries for 3rd party integration via JFrog or other Maven repositories is a big plus
  • Experience with Github CI/CD workflows, Google Ad Manager SDK
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent is preferred but not required
