Description For NPI Engineer

Fluence Energy, a Nasdaq-listed company (FLNC), is seeking an NPI Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, India. Responsibilities For NPI Engineer

  • Ensure early focus on DFM and DFA in New Product Development programs
  • Analyze product costs during early design stages
  • Lead early-stage rapid prototyping activities with local suppliers
  • Assess NPI material and manufacturing process requirements
  • Analyze BOMs to identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Lead Process FMEA activities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across matrix functions
  • Participate in product review committee for NPI deliverables
  • Identify and communicate potential manufacturing risks
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Execute and assist NPI pilot and qualification builds
  • Define and track key performance indicators
  • Validate quality control measures
  • Collaborate with compliance engineers on industry regulations

Requirements For NPI Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 5-7 years proven experience in new product development, project management, and NPI roles
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and electrical/mechanical assembly
  • Proficiency in applying DFX methodology
  • Strong analytical skills and data aggregation abilities
  • Clear understanding of GD&T and interpretations of Build to Print engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Team player with cross-departmental collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
