Lead Software Engineer (Senior Data Engineer)

Lexington Partners, a Franklin Templeton company, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Senior Data Engineer) to join their Data & AI team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at one of the world's largest managers of secondary private equity and co-investment funds, managing over $70 billion in committed capital.

The position involves leading data engineering initiatives in a fast-paced, startup-like environment within an established enterprise. As a key member of the Data & AI team, you'll be responsible for designing and delivering data engineering, analytics, and generative AI solutions that drive meaningful business impact. The role requires working during India shift hours (2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST) and collaborating with U.S.-based teams.

The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with leadership abilities, taking charge of building firmwide data models, implementing master data management solutions, and optimizing data infrastructure using technologies like Snowflake, Python, and modern data pipeline tools. You'll be instrumental in enabling data-driven decision-making and integrating AI across the organization.
