Senior Platform Engineer (Infrastructure)

Fresha, the leading marketplace platform for beauty & wellness, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join their Infrastructure Engineering Team. The role focuses on enhancing the platform's development lifecycle to be reliable, secure, fast & cost-effective.

The Platform team builds simple, composable components inspired by Unix philosophy, emphasizing modularity and clear interfaces. The position involves working with cutting-edge technologies including Docker, AWS EKS, Kafka, Elixir/Ruby, and NextJS/Typescript.

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Defining and developing infrastructure architecture for multi-region deployments
• Implementing automation to improve developer experience
• Leading projects autonomously
• Extending local development experience
• Creating documentation and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Enhancing monitoring & observability capabilities
• Collaborating with engineers to optimize efficiency

The ideal candidate should have:

• Strong software development background
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• AWS expertise (EKS, RDS, S3, Cloudfront, MSK)
• Understanding of SLIs, SLOs & SLAs
• Knowledge of platform ops concepts
• Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Grafana, ELK, Sentry, OpsGenie)
