Description For Junior Full-Stack .Net Software Engineer

Future Publishing, a global leader in specialist media, is seeking a Junior Full-Stack .Net Software Engineer to join their innovative team. This role is part of an exciting initiative to re-platform GoCompare's domain into an API-first, cloud-based serverless architecture, aiming to become the leading Price Comparison Website (PCW) service.

As a Junior Software Engineer, you'll be integral to building new systems while growing your professional skills. The position offers a competitive salary range of £25,000-£35,000 and a flexible hybrid working arrangement, splitting time between either the Bath or Cardiff office (3 days) and home (2 days).

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, UX, QA, and Project Management to ensure reliable application integration. You'll work with various technologies including .NET Core/Framework, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Azure Services, while following best practices in testing and monitoring.

  • Ensure changes are scalable, tested, and developed following best practices

  • Ensure all applications integrate reliably

Requirements For Junior Full-Stack .Net Software Engineer

TypeScript
JavaScript
  • Experience with .NET Core or .NET Framework
  • Experience with JavaScript (ES6+) (TypeScript)
  • Understanding of cloud technologies such as Azure Services
  • Experience or awareness of application monitoring practices
  • Experience or awareness of testing frameworks (MS Test, XUnit, Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library & PlayWright etc.)
