GE Aerospace, a world-leading provider of jet engines and aircraft systems, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their Platforms (Computing & Mission Systems) team. This role focuses on developing safety-critical systems within a highly integrated team environment. The position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace technology, designing and implementing software that contributes to the future of airborne industry.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and testing embedded software for safety-critical systems, working with ANSI C and various communication protocols. They will be involved in the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to implementation and testing. The role requires strong technical aptitude and knowledge of embedded systems, operating systems, and hardware interfaces.

Responsibilities For Embedded SW Engineer

  • Programming and testing embedded software for safety-critical systems
  • Derive software high level requirements into preliminary and detailed designs
  • Execute design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects
  • Interface with hardware design and development
  • Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews

Requirements For Embedded SW Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer Sciences, etc.
  • Experience of software development using ANSI C
  • Knowledge of software design lifecycle in Aerospace, Automotive or similar controlled industry
  • Knowledge of design and implementation of embedded software products at firmware/driver level
  • Awareness in design and interpretation of UML diagrams
  • Knowledge of hardware to software component interfacing
  • Knowledge of Operating Systems design principles
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, JTAG, Ethernet, CAN, PCI, PCIe, SPI)
