This senior-level position focuses on developing and enhancing critical power systems software solutions, particularly in the Energy Market Management System (MMS) domain. Responsibilities For Staff Software Engineer

  • Lead design, development, testing, integration, and tuning of advanced Power Systems Application software
  • Enhance and support high-availability Electricity Energy Market Management System (MMS)
  • Provide domain knowledge and technical leadership to electricity markets application software engineers
  • Provide budget estimates for new project tasks
  • Collaborate with customers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Apply SDLC principles and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP
  • Support marketing efforts for proposals and demonstrations

Requirements For Staff Software Engineer

Java
Python
  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Electrical Power Systems
  • 8 to 11 years of experience in development or project delivery
  • Experience in Power Systems Analysis, C++, CIM Modeling
  • Strong knowledge of source control management, particularly GitHub
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in testing and test automation
  • Experience in the power systems domain
