General Motors is seeking an Automation Developer to join their innovative team working towards a vision of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote at the Warren, Michigan location.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in automotive software development, bringing expertise in languages like C/C++, Python, Kotlin, and Java. You'll be responsible for writing unit tests, leading software system design, and working on cutting-edge features in streaming, gaming infotainment, and connectivity solutions.

Responsibilities For Automation Developer

  • Write unit test code for platform features
  • Lead development of software system team design content
  • Perform sophisticated design analysis
  • Specify and balance system requirements
  • Provide and support common standard methodologies
  • Work with Development Leads, Technical Product Owners, and Architects
  • Participate in Infotainment and HMI development
  • Work on Streaming and Gaming Infotainment, Google Automotive Services, and Connectivity

Requirements For Automation Developer

Java
Python
Kotlin
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Two years of experience as an Automation Developer, Software Test Engineer, or Software Engineer
  • Experience with building automotive grade software
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Kotlin, Android SDK and Java
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of Rational Team Concert, GIT, Gerrit and Artifactory
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Jira Align, and X-Ray
  • Object Oriented Design experience
  • Experience with Android Frameworks (JetPack)
